The WaterAid IT Support Team, currently comprising of four permanent team members, supports around 300 UK Based staff from our London offices for all IT Incidents and Requests.
Providing 1st/2nd line Support and maintenance of WaterAid's Information services. To ensure we continue to achieve our high standards of support and customer service, you'll be part of a team supporting WaterAid staff in the UK for all incidents and requests, by means of walk ups, telephone, email and tickets raised by self-service. The role will be diverse in dealing with technical issues as well as completing admin tasks and completing service requests. From time to time there will also be a need to support our IS Teams in our Country Programmes as required.

In this role, you will Provide day to day technical support as required on all commonly used software applications for WaterAid offices involving both software and hardware support as well as accountable for maintenance and support on WaterAid systems, including; Office 365 environment and other end user devices.

You'll also:
* Administration of Active Directory
* Administration of Microsoft Office 365 solution
* Administration of Microsoft Office 365 solution
* Assist with new IT systems roll out within IT and to the wider businesses and country programs
* Responsible for the registration and administration of WaterAid's operating system, software licences, and IT assets.
* Managing and troubleshooting the response to virus infections on all workstations.
* Monitoring and adhering to WaterAid's various security policies such as internet and email policies, compliance, data protection and backup policies and anti-virus policies for all staff.
* Accountable for IT department assets, storage and loan management of equipment, ensuring WaterAid policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to.
* Any other tasks as requested by the IT Service Desk Manager / IT Management.

To be successful, you'll need:
* A thorough understanding of Microsoft desktop operating systems and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially office 365
* Experience and understanding of anti-virus software technologies.
* Experience supporting a virtual desktop environment.
* Experience of account administration using Active Directory, security group and distribution groups
* team player, able to work in a collaborative way with minimal supervision
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Previous experience of working in an IT support role.
* An ability to learn fast, pass on information effectively and create user-friendly documentation
* An ability to work in an agile environment
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills verbal and written.
* Ability to take on projects and work on own initiative.
* CompTIA A+ certification or MTA.
