Representative - EU (0674)

Want to use your exceptional advocacy skills and EU institutional knowledge, to play a vital role in making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere?

Join us as the WaterAid Representative for the EU, where you will focus on advocating and communicating WaterAid’s position to staff within the institutions of the European Union, MEPs, Member States and other relevant partners.  The role is based in Brussels, and will build and strengthen partnerships with relevant organisations, influence their decision-making and help further our collective objectives.

To be successful, you’ll need to: 

  • be an effective and self-starting advocate, with sound political judgement, and capable of building strong connections within institutions of the European Union, member state delegations and civil society;
  • have substantial EU knowledge, experience and networks, with a good contacts list; and
  • be able to demonstrate your impact on policy change and experience of using policy, research, lobbying, public campaigning, media and digital work to influence a political agenda.

Fluency in English and a second European language is also essential.

Please note this role is based in Brussels.  It will be home-based initially with a view to securing office space in due course.  Eligibility to work in the European Union is required.
